Born to a thespian family, Cate took the stage in childhood and has since lived a life immersed in cinema. Their early start in acting and writing led to studying at 16th Street, and later in New York City at The Stellar Adler Studio and T. Schreiber Studio.

Most recently, she won the prestigious Septimius Award for Best Actress in "Apparitions." This accolade marked a turning point, inspiring Cate to begin producing her own work. Most recently, the short film Under The Influence premiered at the iconic Magic Box Theater in Chicago (2024) and at Nova Cinema for Monster Fest (2024).

Cate brings a unique perspective to their creative projects and endeavours to tell female-driven stories that allow women to be funny, angry, and ugly, that allow them to grieve and kill, and that foster desire for more than a man but instead a community.

She is currently developing her first feature, Christmas With Iggy.
